
Mr. Hughes has been teaching High School Science for the past 11 years at New Foundations Charter High School, Northwestern Lehigh High School, and most recently Lower Merion High School. During that time, Mr. Hughes has taught science courses at every level offered, from college prep to Advanced Placement. Mr. Hughes earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from Lycoming College and his Master’s of Education (M.Ed.) degrees in Educational Development of Strategies and Effective Teaching from Wilkes University. Mr. Hughes facilitates a student-centered classroom, where his students are in the driver seat. Students constantly communicate, collaborate, critically think, and act creatively with their classmates. This allows them to become the very best version of themselves.
