Gemora

As the focal point of a comprehensive yeshiva education, Gemora is given the most time and emphasis in daily Judaic learning. Through ongoing and thorough study of each respective sugya (topic), students build vocabulary and gain comfort with Talmudic language and thought. With each year of high school, they gain more proficiency in interpreting Rashi, Tosfos, Rishonim and Acharonim (earlier and later commentators).

 

As all Mesivta rebbeim are well-trained in “lomdus,” students are also given increased exposure to the exciting and novel approaches of the greatest recent Talmudic thinkers.

 

Regular quizzes are given to ensure mastery, and help students assess their own progress.
