The curriculum of Jewish Law and Ritual is focused on both the “what” and the “why” of how we live. As Mesivta rebbeim are pulpit rabbis and roshei chabura with extensive knowledge in practical halacha, students are given real-life applications of the concepts they learn. Beginner level Halacha classes are more lecture based, whereas the more advanced ones are more heavily text study -- often with the students studying on their own, with the rebbe offering additional insight beyond the text.
